San Juan Island Center For Ecosystem Coexistence
We have formed a new non-profit, The Madrona Institute, which will in December sign an MOU (Memorandum of Understanding) with the San Juan Island National Historical Park (commemorating a war that never happened). The Madrona Institute has access to a core cadre of professionals in multi-party dispute resolution who would be available to assist negotiations and to train personnel who want to develop these leadership skills. Additional specialists in energy, environmental, and economic affairs would be on call to supply needed expertise for more complex negotiations.
